LORDI spent a week in New York City doing press for the recently released album "The Arockalypse" on The End Records (released as a special 2CD/DVD with bonus tracks/videos). The band began their "monster invasion" of North America this past weekend with a two-night stint at the Bamboozle festival in New Jersey where they stormed the stage both nights with an awesome live set of anthemic rock numbers, pyro and theatrics.
The band returned to Finland this week to prepare for this years's installment of Eurovision (May 12, 2007). The band won top honors at last year's award show with its song "Hard Rock Hallelujah". More than 100 million people watched the broadcast that year, where LORDI scored the highest rating ever to take home the award. Since the win, LORDI's rise in popularity has become massive at home in Europe and now the band is focusing on North America. The band will open this weekend's award show with a live performance of its massive hit single.
